This week has been great!

Here's how it looked

  • We started doing daily stand ups at 6.30am. During these phone calls (typically lasting ~15 minutes) we gained valuable insights and ensured that we were working on the most important tasks for that day.

  • As per the scrum framework, we answer the following questions in these daily stand-ups:

⠀⠀⠀⠀1. Have you spoken to Sam Altman yet? (No.)

⠀⠀⠀⠀2. What did you do yesterday?

⠀⠀⠀⠀3. What will you do today?

⠀⠀⠀⠀4. Any pain/problems?

⠀⠀⠀⠀5. Any important information?

Why do we want to speak to Sam Altman?

"Sam Altman" is shorthand for any VC who has seen 100s of companies at our stage of life. We believe that if we can 1. Get a response from such a person, and 2. Get their feedback on our product vision & mission, then this will be valuable information. If we can't achieve 1, it's a red flag. If we get 2, then we might learn that we need to change direction - to learn this otherwise might take a year of effort.

This week I also worked on the website, and I think it looks decent! We decided to change the name from Aeroplane to Teahouse (which I love 😍) so I'm going to change the URL etc 😊

What else happened this week?

I added a language switch (Chinese/English) to the website, to show that we are targeting the Chinese market too (complete with totally incorrect translations).

Lastly, on Sunday we spoke to a prospective hire, which was great! alt text
