Note-taking Apps
In the last 5 years I have been using Notion↗ for almost everything... workflows, dashboards and as a Google Keep replacement, but it's too complex just for taking notes.
So when looking for another alternative I stumbled upon Notesnook↗, a privacy-focused and open source cross-platform app.
It's a relly nice and useful program with loads of features but keeping it simple. I could even share my notes online and if necessary, assign a password so that only users who have the code can get access to the file.
The free tier is enough for creating basic notes and upgrading to one of the paid plans is not that expensive so it worth to pay a few bucks.
OTOH, recently I also discovered a program called Collected Notes↗. This kind of weblog is made and hosted by that company.
It's very cheap, only 1 USD/month or 10 bucks if paid anually -less than the cost of a burger in a fast-food store- and allows you to create markdown notes and share them online (or keep them private).
There are native apps for iOS and MacOS. Unfortunately, there's no support for Windows nor Android devices, but it has a webapp which works on any web browser so that you can create your notes with Firefox, Chrome and any Chromium-based browser regardless the OS.
I do recommend both apps due to the simplicity and the bargain price.
