This topic today is long and complex. Because fear puts us fully into the epic. And the epic is not fighting a horde of zombies riding Dragons. If not fight "a cricket" when our fear impulses are triggered by it. Do you want to understand it better? He is sincere, looks for your trigger, and agrees to play, imagine and make his manifestation real. The epic is always personal, the journey of every warrior is personal and at the level of challenge that each one can face.
We have all lived and do experience fear at some point in our lives. We have felt it and we know some of its effects. Talk about what causes it, or its effects. It is something that escapes this reflection and invitation. Because regardless of whether it was yesterday, today or tomorrow, you are very clear about these answers.
Do we make a plan against fear? You are all invited to make your own way and see if this is possible. But what plan is executable when the "actors" are paralyzed in certain scenarios? I have memories in my energy of many battles and similar situations in my past lives. People, civilians, soldiers, suffering from these "paralyzes" or "escapes in panic". But we seek to learn from those who were able to "solve differently" these situations.
So let's talk about opportunities. It was never about having complete command of the stage. If not, to know how to find something in the micro that we can master. And that links us to a later goal (something that anchors us to the future to go through the process, here we would touch the epic of the warrior's path), to the domain of time and domain of space.
When we speak of space (spatial location) it is to recognize if fear has already manifested itself. Fear of a spider bite, fear of dying, are fears manifested when the act occurs. You must die or the spider must bite you. So as long as that doesn't happen, you have a chance to withdraw (this is different than running away in a panic). You have the opportunity to fight and generate a change in your scenario.
When we talk about time, it is similar to space. But we are talking about the anticipation of an event. To physically and emotionally live the sensations in the present in a fictitious way (thanks to the powerful imagination). Manifest now something that is on an alternate timeline. Is it feasible and possible? Without a doubt yes. But the one who navigates, lives and controls this manifestation in many situations is us.
Let's go on then. Let us understand that we are the main players. And from there we can act our characters. Then we understand and give "narrative life or acting life" to our roles. And for that we must delve into our goals, domain of time and domain of space. We need to live and express our fears. Practice them, act them, imagine them. To incorporate mechanics that on the day of the show, we can bring to the scene. I always return to the concept that "we are consciences living and acting the experiences we live". And learning, practicing, some tricks. We can achieve micro changes. That they will be micro, but enormously significant.
As the first point of the way, I recommend the connection with the physical body: Learn to recognize your breath, the response and sensations of your skin, muscle tension. Learn to discover the flow of changes between tension and distention. The process of meditation on the body and its introspection is beautiful. Since we can focus on something that we always have within our reach and domain. Once you can recognize these changes and transitions. You just have to learn to trigger these changes yourself. Calm down when you are angry, relax when you are tense. Of course, this mixes a bit of guidelines from the physical body and responses from the emotional body. But if you know how to notice the tension of your muscles and breathing when you are "angry or upset", you can release the tension of your muscles and breathing. I start one step at a time. Count from 1 to 10, or 10 to 1 ... Take a rhythmic breath. Can't physically remove yourself from the situation? Do it from the change of body expression, keep your place, but relax your posture. Yes, at first it will cost you. But over time it will cost less. To the point where it will be natural. And you can also apply it in other areas with reflexes of "paralysis and evasion". Deep down there are many areas where fears are activated.
As a second point on the way, I recommend recognizing the climate and the environment: Clearly in the processes where fear is activated. There are several components, but we are usually only able to observe a single one. That cricket that from paragraphs above, several are thinking where did it come from and what is its color? Fear not only "paralyzes" the body in motion, but the body as a whole. Peripheral attention decreases, hearing decreases, creative thinking to solve and create solutions is also more dispersed. How many remember similar situations with one or more markers of this style? This point is a little deeper and more difficult than the previous one. But remember you came looking for options, if you are not interested at this point. Go back to the room with the cricket / spider / zombie / mint ice cream / pineapple pizza ... This point requires a bit of work achieved on the previous point. Because you are going to need some area of your body relaxed. It can be your sight, hearing, mind. The more relaxed and more sensory capabilities the better. Because now the focus will be to stop focusing ALL attention on the "cricket", yes we all know it is there. But we need to know some more things that at the moment you are not being able to see ... Is there more? He is alone? It is leaving? It is improving? Well these questions are cheating, we do not need these answers. You already know them or you should, it's your fear. I really want you to tell me about your options, the environment. Are there tools nearby that might be of use to you? Can you take distance? Is there anything that might give you a surprise opportunity to respond? When we talk about recognizing the climate and environment, we talk about this. What options outside of you and the trigger exist in your reality that you may begin to notice as new?
Returning to the epic named at some point. The problem of paralysis arises from the trigger. But it is sustained by a single focus on the trigger. When we activate the focus on our body, we can make and master mini conscious changes to change our physical and emotional postural dynamics. Give ourselves that "break" and then perceive the environment, plan times, and actions. These are some of the micro differences, between the paralyzed warrior and the warrior who flows in unfamiliar environments.
