Net Asset Value
A calculation commonly applied to projects in earlier phases of development. The Net Asset Value (NAV) refers to the value of the project minus any liabilities.
When evaluating a junior mining company an enduring consideration is whether a larger company would be interested in purchasing the asset. Since they will be comparing potential purchases using similar metrics the NAV is a useful detail to have.
Commonly applied in the P/NAV, it is also useful as a standalone figure.
