Content in the junior mining space includes a unique cast of characters.

Community:

You will find civil libertarians with an unshakeable faith in metallic currency who publish on precious metal stocks with a large dose of political and economic commentary, mostly Americans and Germans. They are probably the most vocal having been there the longest and are strongly identified with the mining industry especially juniors.

There are some more dispassionate analysts with a financial background and experience with major firms in Vancouver, Toronto, London, and New York. They lack the same enthusiasm for mining as the libertarians but can be expected to produce decent content and provide some limited economic commentary. They are more likely to favour majors but do work with juniors as well.

Another cohort of geological and outdoor enthusiasts are more focused on the technical aspects of the property and are often involved in the industry at some level. They are less likely to produce content but when they do it is often less accessible and gears toward more esoteric questions of geology, metallurgy and operations.

Among the younger cohort there are both the general get rich quick types who populate virtually every sector. And there are the starry eyed environmentalists who believe they can get rich ethically by selecting the most impactful stock. Nestled between the two are recent investors who followed the battery metal bull market and anticipate metals subsidiary to a techno-optimistic future.

Taken together, it is a diverse group and the public facing image is still dominated by the prospector and free gold advocated but behind the scenes more space is now occupied by dispassionate financial types and younger cohorts.

This should inform your analysis when following one or another analysis. Some are better than others, and you may need to dispense with some ideological baggage not to your taste.
